New Year's 2007-2008 in Chicago, IL

The coolest part of new years in Chicago was the hotel we stayed at. The James Hotel is a luxury boutique hotel in downtown Chicago. The atmosphere was young and hip and the rooms were awesome! I would definitely stay at this hotel again. The only thing that I think needs work is their room service - granted it was new years eve and I'm sure there were many drunk people trying to get food, but they really dragged on our order. None the less, it's a great hotel!

At The Party

We also hit up Subterranean after all - thinking it was going to be a hip hop/dance hall/electro crazy party, but it turned out be more of an 80's hip hop with a little bit Micheal Jackson thrown in. Not really what I had in mind. After a couple drinks most parties end being fun. Kinda wished we check out Darkroom instead, but there's always another time. Over all New Years was the bomb! Glad to be in 2008 with new beginnings and new ideas.

I was thinking about upgrading my camera for a long time, but never really got around to researching for a camera I really wanted. This past weekend, I decided I really wanted to find "the one". I have a couple trips coming up. One being my trip to Chicago to visit friends and family for the holidays and two being that I'm going to New York Fashion Week in February 2008 for work!

I have an old 2 mega pixel Canon Powershot S200 and it was long over due for an upgrade so after looking through several reviews I decided on the Canon Powershot SD1000. I was looking for something even smaller than my S200 and wanted something sleek and clean, but most of all I want good image quality and the SD1000 had it all. I love the ultra compact size of this little digital elph and I also love Canon cameras because or their great lenses. This camera is almost as thin as my Blackberry Pearl and half of the length.

I will post some pictures from the camera once I take a few so you can see what they look like. Stay Tuned.
